education & workshops

We offer education and workshops for community members, community organizations, schools and anyone else who wants to learn! We don’t do this work for free but if you are a non-profit or have limited funds, please still reach out and we’ll brainstorm an arrangement that works for us both!

  • Our principles

Our 10+ years as environmental, urban agriculture and climate educators has helped us really hone our skill. All our workshops are built on the following principles:

-hands-on experiences and opportunities (even in our virtual events!)

-co-created with community members and participants (meaning the participants help guide what we do and talk about during the event)

    -anti-racism and anti-oppression practices

    -skills and knowledge exchanges

    -arts-based and storytelling centered

  • Our workshops

Our workshops are offered in-person and online. We can cater your workshop to what you like, but here are some examples of workshops we love to do:

-Get your garden ready for spring

-Gardening in small spaces or indoors (for balcony gardening or gardening in apartments)

-How to bring climate action into your garden

-Let’s learn about food justice and food sovereignty
